When in Seminyak, the one thing thats for sure, is that there are no shortages on the amount of beach clubs to visit. Every one of them has a unique theme and atmosphere, it’s hard to choose which ones to go to!

La Plancha is known for its colourful beanbag chairs and chill atmosphere. We saw this place all over Instagram and the various travel blogs we looked through and put it on top of our list. We were lucky that this beach club/restaurant was close to our hotel and only walking distance away. We came around 4-5 pm, just in time to enjoy a bit of sun and squeezing in some time afterwards to enjoy the sunset. The DJ at La Plancha is amazing. He played the best tunes, that fit the ambience of the place so perfectly. We picked a spot right up front, closest to the ocean and got to enjoy the scenery. The waves splashing around and the music in the background was magical! You can order a variety of drinks here from fruit shakes, sangrias, Bintangs to mojitos. We didn’t get to try the food as we made dinner plans elsewhere, but it all looked delicious. La Plancha is theee spot to relax, enjoy the view, its killer sunset, and sip on drinks.
Here’s a tip: when the servers suggest to move you to a different area to sit because the waves are getting too close… LISTEN!! We unfortunately made the mistake of brushing them off and ended up almost getting swept away into the ocean. The tides may seem magical and harmful in the moment, but when that water comes up to your feet and beanbag, it’s powerful!! A number of people fell off their beanbags and got soaked. Everyone laughed it off in the end, but it wasn’t fun having to dry out all of your money and getting the sand out of your purse.
Potato Head Beach Club
Jalan Petitenget No. 51 B, Seminyak, Kuta Utara, Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 83061, Indonesia
Potato Head is arguably one of Bali’s most famous beach clubs. This beach front property is home to 3 restaurants and an infinity pool, over looking the Indian Ocean. It’s also known to have one of the best sunset views. Though we came to see the sunset and sip on some drinks, you are able to enjoy the beach club earlier in the day. The day beds are limited, so you do have to preboook/get there early in the day to grab a spot. Potato Head is on the pricier side, so be prepared to spend a bit more than you normally would anywhere else in Bali. There’s also dock leading out of the club and onto the beach, and it’s a perfect place to take pictures and enjoy the sunset. The place is breathtaking! The architecture and vibe of this place is incredible. Next time, I plan on taking full advantage of this place and getting there earlier to get a daybed and enjoy the pool.
