Where To Eat: Seminyak

Seminyak along with Kuta is the busy, modern part of Bali filled with luxury hotels, bars, restaurants and high-end shopping. It’s a popular tourist destination. With that it comes with heavy traffic and congestion, with it being such a busy and popular place. On the positive side… the food here is amaaaaazing. Though I only stayed here for 4 days, I got to try a bunch of the restaurants I heard great things about prior coming to Bali. Here are my favourites..

Nalu Bowls
2A,, Jl. Drupadi No.1, Seminyak, Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia.

For months prior I had seen Nalu Bowls all over my Instagram feed. The presentation, layout and all the different colours of the fruit always looked so good on IG.. soooo naturally it was on top of my list. I was a bit disappointed because the bowl that I really wanted to try was out of season, but the others did not disappoint. There are about 5 different ones to choose from. All of a different mixture of fruits and taste. I loved Nalu Bowls so much that I ate there once in Seminyak and twice in Ubud. They’re delicious and super refreshing. The best thing to have, especially after you’ve been sweating buckets in the Bali sun. The Nalu Bowls in Seminyak has additional seats upstairs in an adjoining cafe (though I can’t remember what the name is), there you can order a variety of drinks from teas, kombucha and fruit shakes.

BO$$MAN
Jalan Kayu Cendana No. 8B, Seminyak, Kerobokan Kelod, Kuta Utara, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

To my surprise, when in Bali, I actually had some of the best burgers I have ever tasted. Like Nalu Bowls, I also came across Bo$$man while scanning through Bali Instagram posts. The whole ambience of this burger joint is what really got my attention in the first place. There are about six different burgers to choose from and three different varieties of fries. Pictured above is the Notorious P.I.G and Kim Chi Un with polenta fries. The Notorious P.I.G has pork belly (enough said, right?) while the Kim Chi Un is loaded with fried chicken, kimchi and mayo.

Though, not pictured here, another great burger place in Seminyak is Whacko Burger. Owned and curated by Australian’s, the burgers here were to die for. I didn’t get to take a picture of my food because I was SO hungry the day we went there. They have a huge range of insane milkshakes too!

Sisterfields
Jl. Kayu Cendana No.7, Seminyak, Kuta, Kabupaten Badung, Bali 80361, Indonesia

Sisterfields is actually the sister restaurant to BO$$MAN, located right next door! The atmosphere is completely different. It’s airy, light, filled with plants and turquoise hues. It’s the perfect brunch spot! This restaurant is much larger in comparison to BO$$MAN, with a ton of room for sitting and dining. Bali fueled my love for polenta fries, especially when paired with truffle aioli (to die for). For brunch, I got a mango parfait. It honestly tasted like a breakfast mango sorbet.. it was delicious. The menu at Sisterfields has so to choose from – I wish I ate there more than once because there were so many things I wanted to try.
